Mid-Winter Dinner

Last Meeting - Sunday June 26

The meeting was well attended and proved a very enjoyable night. It started with a pot luck meal and there was even a little food left over!


Following on was the "News Item" competition and the winner was Nevill Smith with an extremely well made "Restoration of Larnach's Tomb".


Unfortunately our speaker Celia Davies had lost her voice but husband Mike filled in with an excellent talk on back-packing (budget touring) through a number of countries. Well done Mike.


Wilma Deen and Andrew Wylie then showed some older footage of Mid-Winter carnivals in Dunedin.
It was a good night and the members were reluctant to leave.

A vote of thanks was passed to John and Robyn for their hospitality.
