Meeting Report 27 February 2012

The first meeting of the year was well attended and was particularly interesting.
The competition was for the "Holiday Cup" and there were 5 entries.
1st "Dog Island Get-away" by Warren Knox
2nd "Milford Get-away" by Wilma Deen
3rd " Rangitata River Mouth" By Nevill Smith and also "The River Thames" by Ted Hagen and "Kaiteriteri" by Murray Elston.
All the films were particularly interesting and well received.

Andrew Wylie then showed the advantages of a "turn-key" editing system and put the Casablanca through its paces. The Casablanca has now been produced since 1979. The latest versions all have the look and feel of earlier versions.

Nevill Smith then showed some of his films including "The Window Cleaner", "Lois Huoy's Lounge Jackets", "Grand Pa Smith's Apples", "Black Tunnel Web Spider", "Mr Ted - Horsing around", "Raising of the Guns" and a little bit of "Larnach's Tomb".
Well done Nevill and Andrew.
