The Mid-Winter function was held at John and Robyn Armstrong's and was well attended.
The competition was News and there was a lot of it. There were six entries and these were from Yvonne Renton, Mike Davies, Celia Davies, Gio Angelo, Andrew Wylie and Wilma Deen.
The winner was "Canon News" from Gio and second equal "Wynot News" from Andrew and "Tandog" from Yvonne.
Robyn then gave an illustrated talk on St Petersburg with the highlight The Hermitage.
John then showed his film of Mockba which covered Red Square, the Borodino and Patriotic wars and park containing the fallen idols.
Members enjoyed the evening.
