Meeting 20 October 2014

President Peter Begg welcomed members to the meeting.

The competition was 'Open - Own choice' and there were two entrants.
'Street Art in Dunedin' by Gio Angelo showed many of the new and old paintings on the city walls. These were many and varied and excellent works of art.

'From Vine to Wine' by Nevill Smith was the story of making wine from a very small vineyard - 1 vine growing in the basement and growing into an upstairs conservatory. A well told story.

In the first for many a long year the both entrants received the same number of votes and were placed first equal.

Gio then showed the use of a Intervelometer. This easy to use piece of equipment could be purchased to suit most video cameras and enabled time-lapse filming. He then showed a very impressive short film with time lapse effects.

President Peter then talked about ideas for the future of the club. These were at the formative stage and included involving the club in community events, archiving of member's videos, improving the club's equipment and generally improving the club's profile. Watch this space!

A little more time lapse from John Armstrong then Frank Weedon discussed his proposed film 'Beautiful Dunedin' and followed it with a stunning and well made film.
