I have a sense improving weather is
just a tad away. Signs are showing in the Garden…more work is just around the
corner. Hard to believe less than a month until the Spring Equinox!
Apologies:Visitors:
Competition: Own Choice up to 10 minutes. All films below 10 minutes are
also eligible…so your 3, 4, 5 or 7 minute film is fine.
# GUEST SPEAKER
Heather Bray, Principal Dunedin
Family History Group, will give a presentation and include some screened
images….The Dunedin Family History Group meet once a month and have very popular
programmes. Their purpose is to promote interest in the field of family
history through educational programs, to collect and disseminate genealogical
knowledge and information, and to provide support and guidance to those trying
to research all aspects of their family history. A recent newsletter under
Dunedin Family History which I found on Google had a reference to Beverly Begg
Observatory…in which my Grandfather John Campbell
Begg was noted!
This will be very interesting and will be worthwhile
attending.
# Workshop
Session 3
# Peter Begg has something a little different in mind. This will last around 10 minutes and will be the first time it has been tried…possibly since the clubs very beginnings in 1937!! It should not be too arduous!
# John
Armstrong has been working on archive storage and the development of a new
cataloguing system which is now nearer to its completion. He will report on
this and hopefully show how the new system works. # Peter Begg has something a little different in mind. This will last around 10 minutes and will be the first time it has been tried…possibly since the clubs very beginnings in 1937!! It should not be too arduous!
