Nevill joined the club about 1982 and always entered fully into its activities.
He served on the committee for a number of years before becoming Vice President in 2002. He was then President for three years during which he largely organised the very successful South Island "Get Together".
When he retired from that position he became Secretary for two years and still found time to assist on the Bulletin Committee as well.
Nevill has always been an enthusiastic member of the club not only in volunteering his expertise in elected club positions but in frequently entering his projects in the club competitions.
His professional approach to film making has been an inspiration to us all and is evidenced by the many successes he has achieved in our competitions. His well researched films and fine filmmaking methodology have contributed to his successes.
Nevill’s achievements are many and include 16 first places and eight seconds since 2001 with five occasions when he was the winner of our own Arthur Richardson Trophy.
In 2008 he was the winner of the Arnold Stanbury Trophy open to movie makers from throughout New Zealand.
Nevill is a well deserved recipient of this honour.
Nevill responded by saying he was proud and honoured by the title bestowed on him and wished the club well for the future.
