Meeting 28 November 2011

It's time for a Stress Free Night with no Rugby and no Parliamentary Elections!

Meeting 28 November 2011

This is the night of the Annual General Meeting of the Club and will be followed by the screening of a film made by a our famous filmmaker the late Arthur Richardson.

Arthur joined the Club in the nineteen fifties and enjoyed making personal holiday films as well as experimental animation films for which he became World famous.

"The Hollyford Valley - Xmas 1955-56 is a 15 minute sound film made in the days when you tried to synchronise tape recorders with projectors. Editing the sound on a reel to reel tape recorder was a major task. (there is evidence of a false start in this film actually). Make a mistake and it was back to the start again... soul destroying. (Information from Andrew Wylie).

A film on transformation (you will have to come to find what it is about), a film Andrew has prepared from the archives,  Presentation of Awards and most importantly Christmas supper.

Where do we meet ?

The Mornington Community Centre,
16 Maryhill Terrace,
Dunedin
