Monthly Meeting, Monday August 25th

Meeting will
be held as normal at Mornington Community Centre, 16 Maryhill Terrace Dunedin
at 7.30 pm
COMPETITION: Own Choice up to 5 minutes. We have had good numbers of
entries this year…keep it up. Remember every entry scores and can help the end
result.
GUEST SPEAKER:
We are pleased to Welcome Valerie
Steele, from Senior Net. It is an organisation well known but that individuals
may know little about. We will be using their facilities to run our workshop
evening on 1st September. This will be a talk about Senior Net, how
it works, what they do, and perhaps how to become involved.

speakers…they appreciate it and it bodes well for a great meeting
PROGRAMME:
O.A.M.M. Workshop Commences
As advised last meeting, the first
introductory session of our club workshop will be run as part of our meeting
programme. This could take about 45 minutes and will include un-edited raw
clips shot by club members this month of a particular short activity, with Gio
Angelo providing some explanation and then a plan for editing these to make a
short film. He will go over suggested tactics, planning, and the basic
principles of good film making, and encourage discussion on some aspects.
This will be of keen interest to all
present, and we have 6 people who have registered to attend who will be at our
main session in Senior Net rooms 1st September. If a few more wish
to attend there is still room, but we need definite numbers by 25th
August.
