Next Meeting Monday 28 September 2015

The long winter is finally going!  It is amusing to ponder that we happily accept long hot summers well into autumn, so I guess we must occasionally take the opposite medicine of long cold winters well into spring!
Two annual milestones pushing us that bit closer to summer will pass before our meeting – The Southern Hemisphere Vernal Equinox occurred today at 1.22 am., then on Sunday 27th at 2 am we enter Daylight Saving, just in time for our meeting!

# Own Choice film evening:
This is a non-competition month, our time to bring along little gems that you wish to screen. Anything old or new of interest that you have tucked away in a corner and around 5 minutes long (a little flexible on this) is ideal. These sessions have been run for several years now and are very popular. Perhaps the non-competition factor helps!

# Arthur Richardson entries due 30th September 2015!!!!

PROGRAMME

# O.A.M.M. Workshop Session 4: The Role of Music in your movie project.

These days it is quite a simple step to add music to your movies. There are however very important rules of thumb about what to use, how and when to use it. It can enhance your work beautifully, or it can pull it down and spoil it.

# Peter Begg will report on a great little trip to Doubtful Sound accompanied by a short movie (of stills) ‘Shadowland’ is a must visit and so pristine and unspoilt that it is a memorable destination.

# John Armstrong will report on latest happenings regarding Archiving, promoting the activities of our club, and our publicity leaflet.

# A comment (and/or discussion) about DVD Burning challenges on Windows 10…GRRRR!!!

# Raffle Draw                                                                                                                                        Your support is appreciated, and helps us pay the rent.

# Supper at closure of meeting
