Meeting will be held as normal at Mornington Community Centre, 16 Maryhill Terrace Dunedin at 7.30pm
PROGRAMME
COMPETITION: Instead of a competition that counts for the end of year awards, we have an open invitation for everyone to bring an item of their choice up to about 5 or 10 mins along. So far there are 07 people I am aware are going to do this. We have held an open night like this annually for two years now, and these nights have produced very interesting and varied evenings. It is envisaged that this will occupy the main part of the programme. We enjoy seeing little items that may never have been presented to the club, or at least not seen in living memory.
I intend to bring along a vintage competition entry made in 1993 when I first joined the club.(don’t be frightened it’s quite harmless!)
It will be great for each person to introduce their item as this adds a depth of interest
Other Interesting topics
# Andrew Wylie will show and tell some very interesting gadgets that could be useful to all of us, as well as some interesting film clips. He also has some inside information regarding the workings of the superb on board cameras in the Americas Cup Boats
# I will report on the adventure I had while repairing my computer which was so sick it barely worked…I will also have a clip of some very early Bean video…shown live on TV 3 over 20 years ago. He’s changed enormously since then, but is it for the better?
# Remember the Arthur Richardson competition entries must be in by 1st October. Don’t be afraid to enter…although there can be only one winner the experience of producing a good 10 to 20 minute film is very worthwhile.
Anybody wanting copy of the film ‘Three to Go’ premiered last meeting at a special opening night cost of $5 please advise. The disc contains other interesting additional items surrounding this project as well
Our Planned Guest speaker originally for Last month is now confirmed for October. We will get there!!
