Hello All.
I think we can say it
truly is spring now…the days are rapidly getting longer and longer. This is the
final regular monthly meeting for the year; we have a very good programme.
PROGRAMME
Apologies
and Visitors:
Competition: Own Choice up to 5 minutes….you can still contribute to the
end of year result… 2015 entries have been good. Every entry scores in the
final tally!
Arthur
Richardson entries are in…entries now closed (from 01/10/2015).
# Guest Speaker
With a
little hasty organising and confirmation this week…we have a great
speaker: Keith
Henderson with John Armstrong will present a very informative narration on
the History of boating in Otago. Keith has been involved with boats and ships
all his life and has a prodigious memory of events. This will be complimented
by some great historical film…There will be audience participation as well. The club plans to record the comments, to be
added to our archive.
Please
come along and support our Guest speakers…they are always very interesting…Partners
and/or a friend very welcome.
# Warren Knox will screen
his DVD of Akaroa which did not work last month
# Workshop
Session 5: Digital Video Formats explained (Abbreviated). Our Intention was a workshop exploring
commonly used formats we use to make and present our movies. However it can be
a complex subject concerning some more than others, so I will stop at a well
summarised article which might give some insight…it may not occur to us, but we
always use one or other of these formats in our video work!
# There will
be a little celebration to round off the evening.
# Raffle

Keep up your
support it helps to pay the rent.
# Supper
